All students/residents of the advanced specialty education programs at Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine participate in a comprehensive core course of the basic sciences. Residents/students are taught critical thinking and asked to develop seminar reports. Endodontic and periodontic
Seminars with other disciplines are arranged, e.g. with oral pathology, operative dentistry, pediatrics, periodontology and prosthodontics which adds to the multidisciplinary treatment planning experience and education process. residents/students work closely to formulate comprehensive treatment plans.
