Rafael Delgado-Ruiz, DDS, PhD, MSc is an associate professor with tenure in the Department of Prosthodontics and Digital Technology at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine. He also serves as director of predoctoral implant dentistry. Dr. Delgado-Ruiz received his DDS from the National University of Colombia and completed specialty training in oral medicine and prosthodontics in Spain, followed by a PhD (summa cum laude) and MSc in biomaterials and implant dentistry. His academic and clinical work focuses on implant dentistry, prosthodontics, and digital technologies. He has authored over 140 peer-reviewed publications and contributed to multiple book chapters. Dr. Delgado-Ruiz is actively involved in national and international organizations, including leadership roles within the American Dental Education Association and the International Association for Dental Research. His work has been recognized with multiple research and teaching awards.
