Dr. Patrick Lloyd is dean and professor in the Department of Prosthodontics and Digital Technology at Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine. He is a graduate of Marquette University School of Dentistry, earned a specialty certificate in prosthodontics from the Milwaukee VAMC and a Master of Science from the Graduate School of Marquette University. His past administrative appointments include: national coordinator for Geriatric Dental Programs, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs; head of special care dentistry, Marquette University; chair of the Department of Family Dentistry, University of Iowa; Dean of the School of Dentistry, University of Minnesota; and dean of the College of Dentistry, Ohio State. Dr. Lloyd is past president of the International College of Prosthodontists and the American College of Prosthodontists and editor-in-chief of the Journal of Prosthodontics. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics, a fellow of the Gerontological Society of America, and an inaugural fellow of the American Society for Geriatric Dentistry.
