Dr. Romanos is a Professor of Periodontology at Stony Brook, New York and Professor of Oral Surgery in Frankfurt, Germany; Fully trained in Periodontics, Prosthodontics, and Oral Surgery; Diplomate by the American Board of Periodontology; board certified in Oral Surgery/Implant Dentistry; former associate dean for clinical affairs and director of laser education at SBU, he has obtained various administrative and senior teaching positions in NY in and abroad; past president of the Academy of Osseointegration Foundation and the Implantology Research Group of the IADR; fellow of American Association for Dental Research, the Academy of Osseointegration, International College of Dentists, Pierre Fauchard Academy; Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics, International Academy for Dental Facial Esthetics and the American College of Dentists. He has global educational and research activities, author of more than 600 publications, editor and co-editor in eight books; >700 lectures in more than 50 countries; h-Index: 86; >25,000 citations.
