September 2020 - Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine has welcomed Stella Santos, M.S.Ed., as the Assistant Director of Admissions and Special Events for the dental education program at the School of Dental Medicine. Stella will be responsible for recruiting and managing admissions decisions on applications. Stella's vast experience includes hosting over 100 college counselors, creating virtual presentations, leading workshops and training sessions for admissions staff in terms of technology advancement, and planning special events and campus programming such as open houses and receptions.
Most recently, Stella served as the Assistant Director of Admissions at Duquesne University, recruiting and leading admissions committees for their Biomedical Engineering and Speech-Language Pathology programs. Among other roles, Stella spearheaded a Pittsburgh-wide college counselor fly-in program and brought counselors from the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.
