Current clinical trials: 

Research on Periodontal Disease
The Department of Periodontology is seeking volunteers for a clinical research study. The purpose of this study is to evaluate a technique for reducing periodontal pockets. The study requires you come to the dental clinic for between 11 to 16 visits over 5 months. To qualify you must: have periodontal disease, be between 18 and 75 years old, and be in good general health. Please contact Dr. Srinivas Myneni at (631) 632-9703.

Research on Dental Implants
The Department of Periodontology is seeking volunteers for a clinical research study to evaluate an Over-The-Counter (OTC) periodontal rinse for relieving discomfort rather than medically treating Peri-Implant Mucositis.  The study requires 5 visits over 3 months at the dental clinic. You must have a dental implant for more than 1 year, have at least 20 natural teeth, good general health and be a non-smoker.
