Research Compliance at Stony Brook University is overseen by the Vice President for Research and is administrated by two offices. The Office of Research Compliance is responsible for oversite, monitoring, development, and promulgation of policies relating to animal use in research, human use in research as well as other aspects of research such as conflict of interest and research misconduct. Environmental Health and Safety provides leadership and programs that promote a sustainable safety culture and provides laboratory safety training and inspects laboratories to ensure safety compliance.
